In November 2025 the position of Township Clerk unexpectedly became vacant and Rick Soucy, already serving as a Township Trustee, stepped up to fill the void. In no time he had built a powerhouse team and transformed the clerk's department into a smooth running machine that seamlessly integrates with other departments. This cohesive atmosphere better serves the people of Genoa Township.
Since assuming the position Rick has immersed himself in the requirements and responsibilities of his new role, as well as completing all the necessary accreditation courses. Rick knows that experience and knowledge are the key to ensuring fair elections.
This August, Rick is asking Genoa Township residents to retain him as Genoa Township Clerk.

"I will be voting to retain Rick Soucy as the Genoa Township Clerk in the August 4th primary, and I'm asking you to join me in doing so.
When the previous clerk resigned, Clerk Soucy was the only Trustee to step forward to interview for the position at a time when our new board needed stability. Upon his appointment, Rick quickly selected candidates to rebuild the Clerk staff from existing resume submissions... These decisive actions culminated in Genoa Township having its 'cleanest' election certification by the Board of Canvassers in many years during the May 4th special election, at which Genoa Township had the highest voter turnout of all municipalities involved."
Kevin T. Spicher Genoa Charter Township Supervisor
